Three new Pathways resources were launched at the 2015 Catholic Health Australia National Conference. These resources represent the completion of four of the eight projects priorities by the Pathways Taskforce follow extensive member consultation in 2013.

The resources launched include: Formation for Mission: A Guide for Catholic health and aged care services (consultation draft); Strengthening Our Catholic Identity and Mission (consultation draft) and; the discussion paper, The Role of Mission Leaders in Catholic Health and Aged Care

All three resources are available now and ready to order at the Catholic Health Australia website

Welcome to Pathways                                                                          Introductory video

Pathways is being developed by Catholic Health Australia's Pathways Taskforce (formerly Leader Formation Taskforce), established in August 2013 following the mandate given at the CHA Stewards of the Mission conference in April 2013. The mandate of the Taskforce is to facilitate a collaborative approach to formation among CHA members.

Successful implementation of the Pathways vision will depend on actively engaging member organisations in its shaping and contributing. The Pathways Taskforce is also aware of the need to be constantly responsive to the emerging context of health and aged care service delivery in both the planning and implementation stages. The success of Pathways will be enhanced through participation by as many agencies as possible across all stages.

The Pathways website will be a key source of communication and engagement with CHA members and other interested parties. The website will provide access to the latest information regarding the work of the Taskforce as well as progress towards agreed initiatives. It will also make available resources to support individual member organisations’ own leader formation efforts.

CHA is currently seeking feedback from members on the priorities for the work of the Taskforce as it continues its work. One representative from each organisation has been asked to respond on behalf of that member. The survey can be accessed here. A document that will be useful for those responsible for completing the survey, including the Action Priority Matrix, can be accessed here.

Members of the Pathways Taskforce  discuss how the initiatives the Taskforce is  helping to put in place can assist Catholic  health and aged care services today and into  the future. Click here to watch the video on YouTube
